Kewl International Signs Agreement With Danish Apparel Company
7 Oct 2004
Kewl International (OTC: KWLI) announced today it has concluded an
exclusive distribution agreement for Europe that it initiated
earlier this year with a leading apparel distribution firm in
Denmark -- TET A/S. According to the company, TET A/S, which has
grown significantly in the last seven years and become a prominent
distributor of high-end fashion and Italian clothing in Europe, as
well as the U.S. and Canada, has been seeking to enter the casual,
sports apparel marketplace, and sees a unique fit with Kewl and its
brand extension in soccer. Further, it believes that Kewl's
recently signed MLS soccer star Dwayne De Rosario and other stars
Kewl expects to bring on board will permit TET A/S to quickly raise
the Kewl brand name to prominence in Europe. "Although the creative
designs for Kewl soccer apparel were key in bringing TET A/S into
negotiations originally," stated Dominic Fanelli, President and CEO
of Kewl International, "we feel it was the signing of a major star
to endorse our products that became the deciding factor in closing
the deal." Similar to the recently announced agreement with Deep
IMPEX Consultants of India, the agreement with TET A/S is a six
month developmental contract for the Kewl sports apparel line
including a Kewl Soccer spring and summer collection commencing in
February of 2005. TET A/S has assured Kewl a minimum of $180,000 in
revenues for the six-month period, or $30,000 a month, but believes
this figure will climb significantly. Further, the company said
these will be very high margin revenues. Upon the conclusion of the
six month period, both Kewl and TET A/S have the right to
renegotiate the terms of the agreement. Vishav Joshi, COO of Kewl
International, stated, "We have concluded endorsement contracts
with additional soccer stars and will be eager to announce who they
are when they can wear the new Kewl apparel and TET A/S decides how
to best utilize them in their marketing campaign." "To say that we
at Kewl international are excited about bringing two exponentially
growing markets, in India and Europe, on board for Kewl's growth
would be a serious understatement," concluded Mr. Joshi. |
