 | Online Roulette
Roulette is one of the easiest casino games to learn how to play and can be a very profitable game. There are two main types of roulette, European single zero and American double zero. From a player's point of view European Roulette is a slightly better bet as the house advantage is reduced by the fact that there is one less number, the 00.
The game of roulette starts at the roulette table where you will find a spinning wheel and a betting area. The wheel, depending on the roulette variation contains thirty seven or thirty eight numbered slots.
The game is played by spinning a small ball on the roulette wheel, the ball then comes to a stop in one of the slots. Your aim is to predict where the ball will land. You have several different betting options.
Single Zero
Often called European roulette the wheel has thirty seven slots. Thirty six numbers and ONE zero. The house advantage is roughly halved with the removal of just one number. This is the best variation to play.
Double Zero
This is the most common roulette variation found in the US. The wheel contains 38 different numbers. The extra zero roughly doubles the house advantage so we highly recommend that players only play on single zero table when ever possible.
Playing roulette is as simple as deciding how much you want to be and putting that bet on the table. With one bet you can pick just one number or with a single chip cover as much as 18 different numbers.
There are a total of eight different bets available on a roulette table. Each type of bet has a different pay off rate and covers different amounts of numbers.
The short lines of three numbers each are called rows on the board, while the longer lines, each holding twelve, are called columns. The first five types of bets are all made on the numbered space or on the lines between them and are called inside bets, while the last three types are made on the special boxes below and to the left of the board and are called outside bets.
After your bets have been places the wheel spins and the ball will eventually come to a stop in one of the numbered slots. Then depending on your bets you will either win or lose and payout is done according to the placement of the chips previous to the spin.
